Thanks for stopping by! I'm Laura, the owner and wood artist behind The Willow & The Pine.

The story behind our name goes back to my childhood. My grandparents' property was home to a towering pine tree with endless branches that made it the perfect climbing tree. Nearby stood a beautiful old willow that I loved just as much. It was majestic, whimsical, and one of those places that always felt a little bit magical.

Years later, my husband and I have the privilege of raising our family on that very same property. Sadly, we've since lost both the willow and the pine, but they remain a special part of this place—and the inspiration behind the name of my business.

My love of creating also started here. My grandmother always had a project waiting for us when we came to stay, and she passed her creative, do-it-yourself spirit on to me. Years later, she taught me how to wood carve, which sparked my love for woodworking and eventually grew into something much bigger.

We rebuilt my grandpa's old shop and turned it into the woodshop where The Willow & The Pine comes to life today. It's where I create handcrafted wood art, home décor, gifts, and pieces inspired by nature, travel, and the places and people that mean the most to us.

There's something especially meaningful to me about creating in the same place where so many of my own memories began. I hope the pieces I make become part of your family's home, adventures, celebrations, and memories too.
