Thanks for stopping by! My name is Laura, and I am the owner/wood artist behind The Willow and The Pine. When I was a little girl, I loved to climb the towering pine tree that sat on my grandparent's property. It was huge and massive with so many limbs that it made the perfect climbing tree. They also had a big old willow tree that I loved so much! It was so majestic and whimsical. Now so many years later I get to live here on that property with my husband and kids. Sadly, in the last year we lost both of those trees. My grandmother taught me to be creative. She always had a project to work on when we came to stay. I got my creative do-it-yourself side from her. About 5-6 years ago she taught me to wood carve which started my love for woodworking. We had Grandpa's old shop rebuilt to be the woodshop where we can create custom signs and wood art. That is how "The Willow and the Pine" began.
